| Does everyone know what a haiku is? Probably. For those of you who don't, it is a Japanese style of poetry that is formatted based on syllables. There are three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second seven, and the third five again. These poems look really cool when they are laid out. Here is an example: his cold rock-hard skin
makes me wonder if it is

| haikus are the type of poetry i'm best at writing  here are a couple i wrote a while ago:
1. Abstract:
A splash of color
Abstract emotions and thoughts
Creativity
2. Mistakes:
Which is the right path?
My knowledge gained the hard way,
Mistakes lead to genius.
3. Run:
Is there no escape?
Memories always find me
Do I laugh or cry?

| thanks for the feedback! i love writing hiakus. longer poems are actually harder for me to write.
of course you can write hiakus too! all i do is think about a subject, then what i feel about that subject. i take the emotions and count them out in syllables, then tweak with them until they make sense.

~fireworks~ (haha this one actually rhymes. magic!)

colored sparkles in the sky,

| OMF that one was funny I once had a thought Perhaps you loved me, maybe Was that just a dream? Wow that was worse than I thought it would be. I would like to point out that what we're writing is technically a senryu (thank you twirls) because haikus are nature-based and senryus, althought they follow the same structure, are not. _________________ If you are wondering why my sig and avvie are so wondrous and awe-striking, it is because the glorious genius TSUKI has made them for me.
