Okay everybody!!! I just looked around the class and realized that I haven't posted an assignment in well a really long time. So now I get the privilege of making one up off of the top of my head!!! Joy!!!

Okay, how about this: When you are taken hostage by a group of mad scientists, you get the opportunity to take home and keep any one of these objects.

--a ring that makes the wearer invisible
--a clock that controls time (when you set it for a time, it will take you to that time)
--a glass that whenever someone drinks something out of it, they fall in love with the first person they see
--a lamp that grants three wishes

They have been developed in the lab and have not been tested yet. You are not allowed to test the objects before you pick, and have to wait until you get home to try them out. Tell which object you pick, why you picked it, what happened when you tested it, and the results. What did you do with it? Did it end up being a help or a hindrance? Tell every detail of your experience.

OMG i just had to put some random crap on here about waht an amazing opportunity Blue lake Fine Arts Camp is. It is so much fun!!! I just got back and it was amazing. I go for choir, but whatever...there is just such a creative high there!!! Google it!

I would choose the lamp that grants 3 wishes, I choose this because the falling in love glass would be minuplation, the clock could only work for the peroid of one day and within that day, 12 hours, and invisibility would annoy me, id trip over myself. Soooooooooooo I went home to test my new toy.i and sat there for about 4 hours thinking of a good wish. I decided to go for the "I wish for a million dollars" wish. So I rubbed the lamp, and what happened? ABSOLUTLY NOTHING! so Im thinking what a rip off this thing dosent even work! I should have gotten the clock so i could go back and pick somthing else. But I was happy to be home and free of captivity so I went about my life, got my job back, explained and explained and explained what happened. One day, while my sister and her son where over, her son found the lamp. He immeadetally gave it to me and said "Is that a magic lamp?" I replied "No, of course not" I didnt want to provoke him, they were leaving and he should be getting tired, not all excited about a lamp. So they left and I was alone with the lamp. I went to rexamine it. I will never admit to the weeks of frustration I had over this lamp, but I had gotten over it, mostly when i started dating George but thats besides the point. I pulled at the top of the lamp and a small puff of smoke came out. suddenly there was a small woman with wings that looked like tinkerbell floating in frount of me "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM MY LIFE?!?!?!?!" she yelled. I was starteled but replied "I wish for a million dollars please." as polirtly as I could. She went on a rampage " OH SURE, YOU JUST ASK FOR MONEY AND EXPECT ME TO HAND IT OVER OF COURSE, WHERE ARE MY WISHES? HMMMM? WHERE?" she went on like this for about an hour. Then just flew back into the lamp and the phone rang. The lottery ticket i had bought the day before had actually won for not one million but three million. I was asstonded, the second the farey-like creature had left, this happened. I thought about this, if i deal with an hour of leacturing, then i get my wish granted. I thought about and relized I only had 2 wishes left. I also remebered all the farey tales of my childhood where the humans always are punished for their greddy wishes...

Okay, im stopping for now.wow i hav alot of typos and horrible spelling. also should i write about the other 2 wishes? cause if i do, this could get really long....

I'd pick the lamp of three wishes. My first wish would be a very vain one. To be beautiful. If i was beautiful, I wouldn't have to worry and be self-conscious every day. My clothes would fit fine and it wouldn't matter what i did with my hair. I wouldn't instantly drop my friends, i love them to death, I'd just simply feel better about myself and not constantly put myself down.
The second wish would be for a true love. The crazy romantic that i am, I wish more than anything for a true love. Somebody that would love me no matter what. Whether i was homeless or a model, young or old. My love would be with my always and would help me through hard times. He'd be my best friend.
My final wish would be for my very own Barns&Nobel. I love to read and i go through books like the world is about to end. With an endless supply of books and more to come, I'd simply sit and read all day long. I'd listen to music and bother all the employees with my friends. It would be heaven.
With my three wishes, I'd live a very happy life as an Artists/writer with my amazing hot boyfriend who loves me. And we'd live happily ever after at Barns&Nobel.

I pick the ring...

When the frontdoor shuts I grasp into my jeansbag to finally try out the ring. My fingers tremble from exitement and I seem nearly unable to hold them still.
I feel them close around the tiny silver object, the cold metal striking my palm. I´m nervous. What will happen? I have no idea.
The ring looks fairly normal there´s nothing noticeable about it - it´s a small silver band, smooth and new-looking.
Kind of pretty but not special. Nobody´d ever guess what power the ring might have.
I draw in a deep breath. "Try to concentrate", I tell myself to calm down a little bit.
Another deep breath. I close my eyes. My fingers play nervously with the now quite warm thing.
A decision has to be made... "Katja?" calls my Dad, climbing down the stairs. Startled, I slid the ring on my middle finger. "Where are you?"
Although Dad is standing right in front of me and I´m waving my arms he isn´t able to see me. It must have worked. The thought shoots through my head and I feel joy and fright in equal shares.
A warm burning creeps over my skin spreading from the point where the ring touches my skin.
It really hurts! I want to take the ring of but it seems to be glued to my finger. I start to cry but my body heat increases like the spreading does and the tears dry as they fall on my cheek. My Dad seems unable to hear my agony. I pull at the tiny silver thing. It doesn´t move one millimeter.
I cry and scream. Nothing helps. The burning increases further.
My Dad goes looking for me in the house. I want to scream "Dad I´m here, look!" though I know it´s useless because he can´t hear me but I don´t have the force to go through with it.
The burning ebbes slowly and I feel my power come back.
I look at myself. My body somehow grew translucent, shiny.
I see my Dad coming inside the room again. He seems still unable to see me.

Suddenly there´s another person standing across the room. A girl. She´s wearing strange clothes, like from a past period of time. Shyly smiling, the girl draws nearer. When she´s softly touching my cheek I notice I´m still crying but my tears aren´t burned off like before.
Her skin feels somewhat cold and warm at the same time.
"You can cry, dear. We all do when we notice what we´ve become", she says with sofly whispering voice.
I stare at her with wide eyes.

I´ve become.... a ghost?
