He walks in.
He walks in and your world stops in its tracks.
It’s been years—more than that, it seems—but you knew the whole time that the two of you would meet once more.
You had to meet at least once more.
Since the first day, the day when all was set in place and all you could ask for was a bit of a push to get on your way, you knew.
In a mere tick of the clock, he is at your side and you find that you have lost your voice. Your heart speeds up; your palms sweat.
He does not speak, and you are glad as you still lack your usual skill with words.
The sound—or lack of it, more like—fills the room and starts to choke you like a scarf too tight on your neck.
It hurts, it hurts a lot, but you pay no mind.
You pay no mind, for this is a blink of your eyes that has brought you a small step forth to the true goal.
The goal you set the first time you saw him, and just one phrase ran through your head for weeks and weeks as if your whole life was meant to be spent on it.
The phrase that made life as you knew it fly off from this world, never to be seen again.
He will love you.
He will love you.
He will love you.
WOW! That is really terrible, but I had a whole lot of trouble writing it so I'm pleased that I was even able to finish. I'm not great with one syllable words, unless used in conjunction with other, longer, prettier. words.
Nonetheless, voila!
