I write you this letter in hope that you will respond--since you seem to ignore me when I yell at you. Why have you not cleaned any dishes? Every time we start you, you tell us there is an error. Is it my fault? Or Avery's? She does like pressing buttons, and you know that much as I am thankful for you, I am not fond of you. Perhaps I made you angry?

I like your letter, too... The only thing that I would maybe fix is the use of voice... but it really was great, and the thing I really liked was that you were consistent with your use of voice which makes me warm and fuzzy inside. So many people use big words but improper grammar, like "I seen your vehicle over to the supermarket, but I weren't sure it belonged to you 'cause it had enormous chains enveloping the wheels." You know? That really bothers me, and it may seem like people wouldn't actually do that, but in Michigan they do, and the thing is, they think they sound smart. Ugh.

Dear toaster,
I know I named you, I just can’t remember what it was. I don’t think you know my name…well, too bad because I’m not going to tell you now. What upsets me is the lack of toasting relationship between you and Mr. Bread. He has a right to be fully crispy and you just aren’t giving him that. What I need you to answer for me now is a question that has rattled my brain for almost a year. If bread is toast and toast is bread, then if you’re holding bread, does that mean you’re holding a piece of toast? Answer that, you confusing little appliance.
The fact that you take space on my counter isn’t really a good thing, but you are important and I can accept that.
My only problem with you is the questions that occur when I toast something in you. If only you could talk back then I wouldn’t feel like I’m going insane.

I'm so sorry about all that goes on on top of you. I mean you have to endure cutting and heating and lots of water, even when you are not being washed down by the members of my family. You have also helped in so many way. When we stumble, you help us stand or if we just want to satnd you allow us to stand against you. You go through cats walking on you and you have scraches to prove how much you have gone through, we are truely sorry for all we have done to you, i haope you will forgive me, and my family, we love you.
