| Welcome! Lesson 1: Suiting.Thankyou for picking this class to participate in. Our First lesson is suiting. What suits you? What styles and colours suit people? In catwalk shows, they put clothes on models that suit them. It shows how good the clothes can look. Task 1: Look at the three women below Do their outfits suit them? Why or why not? Could you suggest a change they could make to their outfit that would better it? Task 2:Go to www.stardoll.com. We have an account just for this class! The username is Twilightacademy. The password is twilightacademy. Dress up a doll of your choice in a style you think suits them. Then save in it the album [There is a button underneath the doll]. After you have saved it, go to the album and place it in [Your doll will be saved in one of the little tabs]. Then decorate your page as you like! Have fun! _________________ ♥Proud member of of Esme House!♥ ♥Part of the Twipires Investigation Squadron. no.1: I really like this particular dress on Miley Cyrus. I think it suits her petite frame (the bubble-like hem, being layered under multiple ones, enhancing her hips, and the curvy cut also enhancing her bust.) He bangle, earrings and clutch all match, and go nicely with the bloody/coral red of her dress. I like this outfit and the only thing I think she could've improved on was the way she did her hair. The extra contrast of her streaks and the SLICK SUPER straight hair looks trashy with the gold. Having her hair up would've made her look more classy and would probably compliment her outfit. I think her lipstick was also alittle out, she has like a GIANT mouth and it probably wouldve been better to get with a lighter colour or none at all (also probably would've matched her outift colours better and gave it a more warmer look)
no.2: This outfit is honestly tragic, I dont know where to start! i suppose I should go toptobottom: JLO's hair doesn't look formal enough for an awards ceremony, it looks like something I'd so to go to the mall or park. The blue makeup doesnt suit her skin tone in that large amount, looks drag-queenish,,lol THIS DRESS is appauling, firstly, the fabric is tacky, thin and not to mention completel see through! *cringes* secondly, the palm tree/tropical print adds to the tackiness and just makes it icky. The only thing it helps is to cover up her BARE nipples. Long sleeves make everything WORSE on this dress. I really dont know what she was thinking!
JLo has the body to **** this outfit but I think that i the material was not thin and transparent it MIGHTVE made this outfit work. It wouldnt be so trashy because you would be able to keep it safely invisible..if you know what i mean I think in a creamy or very light coral colour(satin maybe?) would've added class aswell.
no.3: Jennifer Hudsons shape DOES NOT work with this outfit. I like her hair, and her makeup is pretty ok But the dress just looks bad. The low-cut doesn't work on her large bust, and black solid colours will only add to the large appearance. Tight long sleeves also don't compliment her shape.
She should have a graphic pattern, to break up the solid and trick the eye into making her look slimmer. All the loose scrunchy material at the front doesn't help, making her look larger than actual, so that can go too.

| Miley: She looks fantastic! The length of the dress suits her very well, and compliments her height. The layering of the skirt works very well, and the fact that it doesn't have straps makes her look taller and she remains looking young while at the same time formal. She looks great in this! The accessories chosen (purse, bangles, earrings) go very well with the color of the dress. But, I'm not sure what color her nails are: black or dark red? If they are dark red, then that also goes well, but the black ruins the red/gold color scheme she has going.Overall, she has a warm, youthful look. Jennifer Lopez: NO. NO. NO. NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!! OUT! This looks TERRIBLE! Her hair is a MESS, her make up isn't cohesive... and... LOOK AT THE DRESS! *screams* The print is horrid, and the way the fabric fits on her makes her look awkward and square. J-Lo, has an awesome ass, but you cant tell her hips even exist! The low-cut has been extended way too far, and the way it shows her mid-riff is just not classy at all. The dress is see through! The buckle is really weird, too. And the long sleeves? WHAT THE heck??? Jennifer Hudson: I think the dress is a little too tight for a full bodied woman like her. The sleeves also look very odd, but I have to say that her hair is done VERY WELL. The extra material doesn't compliment her shape, and neither does the color. I would say that she doesn't look good, but with a stretch it might be okay._________________ OMG. LLAMA. |

| Good Job Class! *Gives Angie+Nyx a gold star* Okay so you both thought that Jennifer Lopez's outfit was shocking. Using 3 safety pins, scissors and unlimited hemming, how would you change the original dress to make it suit her more? Hair+Make up can also be changed. _________________ ♥Proud member of of Esme House!♥ ♥Part of the Twipires Investigation Squadron. | AHAHA!!!! gold star!!!!! *claps hands* Lets see... I would first cut off the sleeves, but leave straps, giving it a halter top-ish look. The safety pins would go to the ridiculous cut the dress has... So I would close it up, but still let the V- neck plunge. (And it's only three safety pins, anyways.) I would also tighten the dress around her waist, so that it could show off her AWESOME hips. I would also make it a bit shorter, because the dress's print is too...festive (though ugly)... to be a long-sleeved, full length dress. At least I think it's full length. But I wouldn't make it too short, because she's not exactly for the young look, and the fabric isn't right for a cute little mini dress like that. Her hair should go up in an elegent way, because the way it is now is.,.. not cool.... at all... _________________ OMG. LLAMA. |

| Picture 1: Miley looks awesome! The dress makes her body look more petite and she looks cute, fun and bubbly in that dress. Her hairstyle was nice and casual and went well with the dress. The accessories went great with the dress and they matched perfectly. But I think she could've painted her fingernails gold. The black sort of interrupts with the colour theme. Picture 2: Jennifer looks horrible. Okay, her hair is way too casual for the event, it's the kind of hairstyle I wear everyday. The bluish makeup does not go well with her skin tone. The material of the dress looks to see-through considering that the style is bare enough. It looks dodgy. And the gigantic slit through the middle. Urgh. Too bare. She does not look sexy at all. And the fabric again. It doesn't cover up her legs, so you can see them clearly, which makes the bottom look only acceptable for the beach (she would probably need a bikini to perfect the top). And also the pattern looks weird and messy and bad-quality. Picture 3: The dress was too plain to me. It was also too figure hugging and did not go too well with Jennifer's body shape. But her hair and makeup and choice and accessories were well with the dress's colour. The material of the dress doesn't look... elegant. And no pockets. Because people usually don't look good posing, hands in pockets, in a formal dress. Ah, there. I haven't been getting much time lately... Well here goes. XD _________________ Immature. | Dress 1: I personally think that the dress is too short for Miley. Shortness isn't a bad thing on her though, because I have seen her wearing short dresses that suit her. My only problem is the poofy-ness of the dress itself. She is a bit too skinny (not in a bad way) to wear that poofy of things. I think it would make her legs look a bit ... straight? does that make sense? but this colour looks good on her and i love the design of it. Dress 2: i think this dress is too...open for her. It just reveals too much and i think it makes her look bit weird. She needs to do something with her hair too...it just wasn't suiting the dress. I personally don't like the print, it looks too pool-cover-up for me, on some dresses it can be okay, just not on this one. i would have done a black dress with a few buttons down the front of that one. The only flaw with the design would be the open-ness so if i could iliminate that and the print i would like it. Dress 3: This dress is too tight on her arms. It is too tight around the sides of her waist also. The black does match her hair colour but a red in that dress would have looked nice. I think if she would have had her hair up, it would have made a better look. I agree with pie lover ^^^ i don't think the pockets should be on the dress at all. there ya go hope you liked it _________________ sMiLeS |

| Dress One: Well I don't really like Miley but this dress does look pretty good on her. I like the neckline, it isn't too revealing and it still looks young but cute and chic. The ruffles are really cute, but I think the overall length could be a tad longer. It's not skanky short or anything, but I think an inch longer would be better. Dress Two: I know J-Lo is supposed to be all sexy and everything but this dress makes her look like a skank. Really? You might as well be naked here. That neckline is disgusting. Half of it is see-through and the pattern isn't even all that pretty or cute. Yuck to the extreme. Dress Three: It looks kind of tight on the arms and around the chest. I don't really like this neckline, it doesn't suit her full-chestness at all. I like the drapery on the dress. It looks like a dress you would wear for a fun night on the town. That other thing sounds fun, but I'll have to do it tomorrow...I really should study for finals... _________________ Come check out my new and improved BannersAnd while your at it, check out my Avatars |
