Lesson #4 : Paris

***

This lesson has not been requested. But Paris is Paris Wink

***

Paris is the capital city of France, but you all knew that already right? Wink It is situated on the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the île-de-France region.
Today, Paris is one of the world's leading business and cultural centers, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities.
Paris is also the most popular tourist destination in the world, with over 30 million foreigh visitors per year.
Paris has an oceanic climat and is affected by the North Atlantic Current,
so the city has a temperate climate that rarely sees extremely high or
low temperatures. The average yearly high temperature is about 59 °F, and yearly lows tend to remain around an average of 45 °F.

I believe that the most important places to visit in Paris are:

- The Arc-of-Triomphe
- The Louvre Museum
- The Effeil Tower
- The Opera House
- Notre Dame
- The Moulin Rouge

Some numbers:
Estimated Population: 2,167,994 persons within its administrative limits.
Estimated Population: 9.93 million persons in the urban area.

Some Pictures:

This one is huge so I'll give you the link:

oh! It's so pretty!
Even way back when, Paris was the Capital of knowledge...French has been considered the language of knowledge because of the philosophes during the scientific revolution and the age of enlightenment! (yaay! History pays off...I know random facts!) Very Happy cool lesson!

Ooh, I love the pictures. I visited Paris two years ago and loved it! I remember going to see the Eiffel Tower and I was absolutely starving. There's a cafe on either the first or second level (which I'm sure you knew that) and I ran up all the steps to get some food. Haha!
