We need to have a talk, TA members. Unfortunately, 'disrespect' is the new trend, and quite a few of you are following it.
It has been brought to the attention of every single admin many times over again that a lot of members here aren't listening to us, and aren't taking us seriously. So, we were forced by the actions of some of you to come up with new rules.
If the rules aren't followed, there really will be consequences, not flimsy warnings and threats never filled...something is going to be done if a member breaks a rule.
If you don't believe it, you can check out squishy_cullen. This member is now banned, and has lost the respect of all admins and many members by posting things that were rude, disrespectful, and insulting. She also sent a PM to another member saying rude things, shattering her second warning and effectivly earning herself a lovely little ban from the TA. If she is rude again, and another warning is issued, she will be deleted. This consequence system will go for everyone who doesn't listen.
Here are the rules the admins came up with and agreed upon. We're sorry, but members helping to make the rules last time just didn't work. We will always take your suggestions and opinions to the rules, but this time you just can't help make them. Here they are:

Rules.

1. RESPECT: This implies that cursing is prohibited, you are expected to be polite with the others members and staff members. Fights are also not allowed, be considerate and think a little before you speak.

2. No double-posting (posting twice in a row even if you wanted to add something later). To avoid double-posting when you want to add something else, just click the link at the top-right corner of your post that says Edit and you'll be able to edit your post. If, by mistake you post twice the same post, just tell someone that has the power to moderate the forum, and we can fix that easily.

3. One-word posts are not allowed. It also includes smileys.

4. IM/Chat is not allowed except in the spamming board. If you want to chat, go to the chatbox.

5. Post according to the topic. Off-topic posts contribute nothing, you can create a thread in the spamming board to start or continue a discussion.

6. Entire caps-lock posts are prohibited, it will be tolerated if it is used to emphasize words.

7. Please participate here at TA! We understand if you are going on vacation, but if a member is inactive for a certain amount of time, they will recieve an e-mail, and then later they will be deleted. (The time amount will be a fair one, don't worry.)

8. Correct spelling is mandatory, texting talk is not allowed...if you accidentally spell a word wrong, you aren't in trouble...but you can type "you" instead of "u" and simple things like that.

9. You are asked to tell beforehand if your topics (may) contain spoilers, simply write "spoilers" in the title.

10. Heed the signature rule! It is still in effect!

We hope you understand, and that these rules are taken seriously. We don't wake up and decide to ban people, it isn't exactly a fun thing to do. You bring it upon yourselves.

Make that with in reason... as in... no chat speak... or txt talk as you guys put it... there is a way...

Not everyone is a good speller... so having correct spelling is going to be difficult for some people... make that with in reason...

I can easily type correctly in posts.... I hardly texts talk on the chat box anyway... I say mainly omc and btw, g2g, brb... wb... Those things...

It is within reason. No one will get banned for being a terrible speller, that's absurd XD What that rule means is that it is against the rules to text talk or purposly spell words worng to an unreachable level of understanding...on purpose.

Yeah, I agree with aluna. I'm still not amazing at English, and so I sometimes spell things wrong.

Then you should rephrase the rule... cause you make it sound like if you spell one word wrong you'll get banned... I figured that it wouldn't be that strict and that you guys are not barbarians... but the phrasing of the rule makes it sound like you are.

You could phrase it like...

8. No Chat speak/txt talk. Any form of this is prohibited.

That makes it understandable and doesn't make it sound like if i misspelled a word or two that I'll get banned.

or at least something to that effect.

Isn't it kind of strange using txt instead of text for that rule. XD
And yes I am a horrible speller but I usually edit posts of I spell things wrong. I agree with Alu too.
