4. If you could be a vampire, who would you be and why?
(Your choices are Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, Carlisle, or Esme). None of them jump out at me. Probably Alice. Carlisle, Esme and Rosalie don’t have the right personalities for me to choose them. Alice, Jasper and Emmett have equally, matched, quirky and attractive personalities. Emmett has to deal with Rosalie and lacks a power, Jasper has to deal with control problems and Alice has no memories. Of those, I think the lesser evil is Alice’s. As for powers, I like Alice’s and Jasper’s equally.
5. Your favourite colour? a. Pink
b. Light Brown/ Brown
c. Navy Blued. Anything wild and fun
e. White
f. Red
6. What do you think of Rosalie? Rosalie is a bit self-centred and simple for me although I can understand and sympathise with her so I definitely don’t dislike her for it. She’s actually someone I’d really like to be on good terms with because I imagine she’s quite nice when you mean something to her.
7. What do you think of Emmett? Emmett’s just funny and lovable. I love his humour and optimism. Though he may not necessarily be the most useful person to have around, he’s certainly the most consistently good person to have in your life as he’ll always cheer you up, always have your back and goes deeper when you need him to.
8. What do you think of Alice? Alice is similarly likable for many of the same reasons although unlike Emmett, she has a tendency to be annoyingly uncaring of other people’s feelings at times. However, on the flip side, she can also be crazy in just the right way and is probably the one you could rely on the most to do the right thing, no matter what it may be.
11. What do you think of Jasper? Jasper I feel sorry for. I like him a lot and he’s in a difficult situation in several ways. I wish he’d been in the books more; particularly once he was safe around Bella. I’d have loved to have seen more of his casual side. I admire his ability to make unbiased, practical decisions and the strength of character that he shows despite all the pressure that he’s under.
12. What do you think of Carlisle? Carlisle is perhaps the most admirable character. Though he’s a little too much of a pacifist for me to want to be him, he certainly has a lot of traits that I try to mimic in real life like his unending helpfulness, complete care for others and ability to put on such a brave face despite everything to name but a few.
13. What do you think of Esme? Esme is nice. She’s a bit simple to be one of my favourites but I do like her. Again, she wasn’t in the books as much as I’d have liked so maybe that’s why she seems so simple to me. The fact that she’s into architecture certainly suggests that there’s more than just that and it adds an interesting, more intelligent seeming side to her. I could state the obvious and say that she’s a very loving, caring person, but does anyone not say that?
14. What do you think of Edward? Edward I think is also an admirable character and I like him very much. He was brought up with a lot of the same ideals as me and so I have to like him for how well he carries them out and for how good he is. On occasion, he is annoying like Alice because he doesn’t put enough weight on the opinions and feelings of others, preferring instead to believe that he’s right and knows better. However I believe his better traits far outweigh his flaws and I can honestly say that he’s one of my favourite characters.
15. What do you think of Bella? Bella I like a lot as well. I suppose it’s quite a rare quality these days but I really don’t have any problem with her. I can empathise with how she acts and I like her personality. She spends a lot of her time with everyone around her looking down on her and controlling her life, giving her no say in anything. They mess with her emotions and pull her around, yet she puts on a brave face and has a fighting spirit without being all superior and overly confident in herself. She’s intelligent, brave and good hearted. I don’t see what’s not to like...
16. What do you think of Forks? Forks sounds very nice in the books. I’d have no problem living there at all. I also grew up in a very green place with a close knit community so the general feel of the place is appealing to me. I’m also used to a lot of grey sky and rain which I find rather relaxing. My only problem with Forks would be that it looks a little bit too industrial for me but maybe that’s just because industrial areas in America look very different to those of England and I was in an agricultural area, not a foresting area. I tend to prefer bushy Oaks, Elms and Beech trees to tall, thin, evergreen pines and yet the general atmosphere of Forks seems to be the same and that’s what I love and value about that kind of place more than anything else.
17. Do you like the vampires? Or the werewolves? I like both. As races, both are likeable and both have their downfalls. Individual members of either race may be a different story but in general, both are good. As for which I prefer; it’s probably the vampires. I prefer their abilities to those of the werewolves and although they start out more dangerous and different, they seem to have much greater potential for control and good in the long run. They also seem much more capable of dealing with what they are and still living a decent life.
18. If you were a vampire, which animal would you hunt and why? Well, it’d be a predator of some sort since they seem to be preferable by far. That said, there really aren’t any predators in England. The biggest one is a badger... Hence, I don’t really know any in particular; I was surprised to find out that there are lions in North America! However, it would probably be something fast and skilled rather than something with sheer brute strength and power as that’s more how I am as well and I don’t put much value in dumb force.
19. Do you like cars? Yes. I’m no expert on them but I know when something looks fast, good and expensive and I know the top manufacturers. These are the things I tend to prefer as well (give me a Bugatti Veyron any day). Although I’m not a speed freak, I prefer fast to slow and enjoy going at high speeds as long as I trust the driver. It’s also not something I’m a stranger to as I live in the country where there is lots of space for an expensive car to race along the empty roads and quite a few rich families who own said cars (and yes, I know a few of them so I get rides occasionally).
One last thought: Is it just me or are questions 9 and 10 missing?
