Para is used for...
1. To indicat the goal. ~with an infinitive = in order to... ~ with a noun: estudiamos para el examen. 2. To express for whom something is intended. 3. To tell when some thing is due. 4. To express a destination. 5. To indicate the employer.
I got the uses of por and para from my class notes.
