Funny Twilight-related story :)

A very random thing happened yesterday...

Jennifer Anne Kogler, the author that wrote Ruby Tuesday and The Otherworldlies came to our school and talked about her writing!

She read us an excerpt from The Otheworldlies, which is about vampires, btw.

Later on, she asked us if we had any questions, so I asked her if she had read Twilight. She had!!! She said that Edward was like her favorite Vampire ever, apart from Fern, the main character of the book. She asked me if I liked Edward, and I said that I loved him, only I liked Jacob better.

She said that she supported Edward, and I said that I liked Edward more for Bella, but Jacob more in general.

And while all of the eighth grade teachers and boys were looking at us like we were crazy, all of the girls in our year and Jennifer began talking about Twilight! It was awesomeness!

that's like, in my english class, we will regularly have (very) heated debates on the edward vs. jacob front
(our teacher is very pro-j+b, and all the girls in our class are very e+b)
and once, another teacher came into the room right at our teacher was saying (rather loudly ) "but why would you date someone who doesn't have a soul!!"

All we talk about in P.E. is Edward vs. Jake. I like Edward with Bella better, but I like Jacob more :)

that is hilarious!!!! i have one friend that (finally) relented that edward and bella are better for each otehr, but she likes Jake a ton. most of my other friends are pro-edward though

I love having conversations with teachers like that. XD

I know, its great when Teachers read current books :)

It was hilarious--we were in the gym for an assembly the other day, and one of the teachers overheard us trying to convince one of my friends to see the Twilight movie, so we ended up reccomending the book to her XD

we're always trying to force our teachers to read twilight especially the ones closer to our age. Our moms though... they seem to just pick up the book, read it and then love it as much as we do. weird that adults can also like the things we do (like the TwilightMoms).

Yeah, I agree! My BFF Becca told her mom to read the Twilight books, so she did, and now I find it somewhat disturbing when she says how much she wishes her husband was more like Edward!

That is a little disturbing but weirdly cool that adults can like the same type books as us.

My teacher had read the Uglies books and she borrowed Extras from yours truly. So when she gave it back, we were taking a test and she yelled across the room something about how she'd never want to be an Extra. Everyone looked at me weird.

I fianlly got my copy of twilight back from a friend and I have a whol day to love it before I ship it off to my cousin...it's in high demand!

Wow. A whole day? No way! Lol. You should buy your cousin a copy
