Sequal?

Do you think the movie will be like the Harry Potter series and more, 3 more, movies will follow to complete the twilight saga?
or
Do you think it will turn out like Eragon where it didn't do that well that they thought let's not do Eldest?

Welll... I'm pretty sure it's going to be top at the boxoffices, even if people don't like the cast, they're curious.
I think they probably will, just cause the fan base is huge and everyone would die if they didn't xD

i'm positive they will make sequels. there is already an imdb profile for New Moon. Nothing public is on the profile. but i think thats a clue that they are making more.

I'd hope they would make a sequel because whats the point of doing part 1 of a 4 part series?

i dont think we can decide that yet because we havent even seen how the movie has turned out yet but i heard if its successful they'll film New moon and Eclipse back to back so there release dates are close to one another

twilight willl be great. (if not...i'll have to kill someone) besides, the story would be incomplete without doing all the sequels.

Lol, everyone has a very strong opinion here. I wouldn't expect anyless though.

I myself hope they do make sequals. Eragon is a very popular book series as well, as for the film did ok in theaters but the dvd sales were very poor. It's now on $10 sales at stores and that's usually for 1990's -2002 movies not LAST year's movies.
I like the movie myself, but it looks like Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation doesn't want to take a chance and make Eldest in fear of putting too much money into making the movie and not getting hardly that back in sales.

Skitzootta is right though, New Moon is on IMDB and the release date they have is 2010. Though the web-site is made form a mixture of fans, producers, etc... you can't depend on it to be true 100%. (At which I am NOT trying to take a jab at Skitzootta by saying this , I use IMDB at work) Most of the time it's true. But there are examples such as an actor may drop out , the movie will be held back many times because of actors schedules or choices. IMDB said Vin Diesel would be in Hannibal the Conqueror release date-2000...then it was changed to 2005...now it's 2009!

I think Summit Entertainment will be cautious with Twilight.
If it does well with theater and dvd sales then there should be no problem about sequals.
I myself think it's going to do very well judging from the teasers and trailers.

I'm definitely thinking that all the non-book readers will come out of curiousity over what the fuss is about and the actual book readers [which is a lot in itself] will make twilight a box-office hit. i am thinking sequels without problem. =]

They are making a movie though I don't know. New Moon as a movie kinda boring. No offence to those people who liked New Moon.

Harry Potter, sorry to say, wasn't that great in movie form. And I love Twilight the Movie, but it was made for the readers, if you didn't read it made no sense.

they did miss out quite a bit.. although we already knew about it..
i took a friend to go and see it (for the 4th time) and she really didnt get some of it. all in all to me it was absolutely amazing!!
