Hmm well I wrote this for a contest on facebook. The theme was Writing Space, and I came second

My Writing Space

In my head, I have written hundreds of stories, thousands. They fill me with pride, happiness, and just a little envy. Comedies, romances, tragedies float behind my eyelids, desperate for escape.

In my head, my characters are perfectly flawed, my stories wondrous. Teenage girls mix with fairies, families mix with monsters, love mixes with hate, bustling and fighting for space.

In my head, excitements flow rapidly, from one chapter to the next, and I imagine worlds away from our own. I dream of boys I know cannot exist, I see my characters walking down the street, inspiration from all corners of life.

They leave my head, poured out on to paper, and all that I see are words and lies, no story, no excitement. I throw the stories away, and in my mind they lose their glow, their appeal.

I keep my stories in my head now, my personal library, my writing space. No ink or paper can be found, no screen or keyboard. Typed out into my memory, words and stories float around me like my own history, and fact mixes with fiction.

No place is more precious to me than my mind, my haven, my space. But how can I share this wonder with the world?
