I am going to say right now that I personally cannot say that I hate all rap. I do not listen to a lot of rap, based on the personal choice I have made, due to the fact that: 1. I think that the lyrics to the songs are often inappropriate, dirty, or demeaning. I am not saying they are ALL the time, but almost all rap songs I have heard are that way. 2. I think that there is a lack of song-like qualities. there is no melody, just a random pulsing beat and some lyrics that have questionable implications. I just cannot identify with most modern rap, and it does not sound good to me. again, i am not saying there is no good rap, but in general, what I have heard is not something that I enjoy. | |

| I think that Eminem and Kanye West are really not all that bad.
They have some good music compared to everything else in that genre.
With that being said,
I despise most rap because most of it just sounds horrible and doesnt make sense, almost every song in modern rap is about one thing..sex. Thats it! And none of the rappers have good voices i mean seriously! They all either have gay voices (example: lil wayne) or rough you-cant-understand-a-word-this-douche-is-saying-cause-they-have-too-much-metal-in-their-mouths voice(example: mike jones). And they are just extremely violent and disrespectful!
To me, the whole disrespect part doesn't really affect me much, but the fact that its just crappy music is what makes me hate rap.

| I hate rap, hip-hop, and country. I do because the way the rhythm is, it somehow gives me a headache. It has nothing to do with the lyrics. (Even though I hate a lot of the lyrics in rap and hip-hop. Country lyrics aren't back, its just the way the song sounds) I listen to any form of rock and I LOVE techno. A few pop songs can be ok. | |

| Haha that SUCKS..! I live in Texas but my whole family is a rock/metal family. All of us children play electric guitar and base and some different insturments. But living in Texas, there are lots of people who wont stop playing country..And im okay with it if its one or two songs but a whole day of country..my god! And I like to think that Rock is classier than rap&country..but my friends dont listen  but i mean Rap=kindof Gheto sometimes.. Country=cowboy most of the time.. Rock=reminds me of city life for some reason. | |
