oh well, i don't like rap, and where i live, there are too many rap stations and absolutely no rock or pop stations, except for the ones in spanish, or oldies.

and our teachers play Rap music in school. =/

I would like to say that yes rap can degrade woman, and talks about sex and drugs but it's a form of expression for those people that do it. If you were to actually live like these people do and were raised like these people were raised you'd be in the same situation as they are.

I'm sorry for ending this "I Hate Rap" thing but I want every to know it doesn't all suck.
Actually, a lot of music on my i-pod is rap. Some rap is a lot about the troubles that these people are seeing or have experienced.

Rap is degrading to women and says some profound things... It's true. But I like it for the beats and the actual music minus the lyrics. That's probably because it's one of the only music you can dance to that is modern. [techno is other]

I also have respect for those that can rap. It isn't easy.

But yes, it can be degrading and I will admit that I have some of that degrading music on my ipod but I was raised to like music like that. But don't get me wrong. I still listen to alt. rock and stuff but rap,r&b and hip hop is my main thing. Even when I listen to it, I put myself in their shoes. They probably went through something or wasn't raised by the best father and that's why they degrade woman. I don't let it bother me cause' it's no use. I never thought of myself as any of the things that rappers say girls/woman are and if someone seems to think I am, I ignore it.

I think that there probably is some okay rap out there, but in general, i do not like rap at all. it does not even have music to go with the beat sometimes!

The only thing that is even semi-close to rap that I like is Linkin Park, and they are not rap at all.

Same here Diz. Rap gets on my nerves after about 4 minutes (tops).

It depends what rap if it is like half pop half rap I can do or rap with rythem but if it is people rymeing to a beat I can not listen to that!

I really don't like it though when I was in Mexico there is a hybrid called reggeton which is rap with reggy music, it sounds strange but it actually turns out to be really good dance music.

True rap is crap, unless it is the old stuff, which could be considered true rap, but ghetto rap, is definatley crap, and most pop rap is crap, but Bust A Move is beastly.
