I think the movie was cancled ...

- Movie news! According to this thread on the Twilight Lexicon forums, the movie that MTV was producing has been cancelled. The script was so horrible that Stephenie Meyer just said no. It had a "Shakira"-like Bella who was athletic and graceful, the Cullens didn't exist, Edward was totally out of character, and Bella tries to kill Laurent (not James) with a gun. No matter how much fans want a movie, that just is not Twilight. There is hope though, as a small company that has approached her about doing it and they want to keep the main aspects of the book.

i just have to say one thing....

ok enough joking around, that's just wrong! If you're going to write a movie about the book, write it ABOUT the book, don't "jazz it up" to how you want it to be

i think Disney would do better with it (but hey, that's my opinion)

The MTV movie was cancelled.

However, the Summit Movie is on with 150% more force than the MTV one.

Thank Goodness... MTV would have ruined it... I think that Summit will do a hell of a lot better.

they better i dont think i could handle them making a mockery of Twilight i would flip. i dont think any movie could actually even come close to comparing with the book but i know that i will watch it in theaters and still buy the movie regardless. but that's just my obsessive way *smiles sheepishly and shrugs*

I really hope they follow the book and don't cut out the good parts [ like they did in some of the Harry Potter movies]. I'm glad MTV isnt doing it. It would be pretty funny but it wouldnt be the Twilight I love. I almost dont want a movie because I'm afraid they will have bad actors and screw up the script.

Well I hope it's not cancelled!
I heard its suppose to be coming out in 2010 because Stephenie posted a new update on her site and also its suppose to start in Jan of 2008 and they don't have any news about auditions yet though.
